Saturn Arena, a multifunctional arena with a focus on ice hockey, offers more comfort in comparison to the former, arctic-cold rink on Jahnstraße.

ERC Ingolstadt (Eissport- und-Rollschuh-Club) has been a member of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL) since 2002. Commonly known as the Panthers, ERC plays its home games at Saturn Arena, which has a capacity of 4,815. The team, dressed in blue and white, won the German Cup in 2005 and the German championship in 2014 for the first time in its 50-year history. ERC Ingolstadt is one of the founders and stakeholders of the Champions Hockey League.
